Bill Nelson

Another guitar virtuoso from Wakefield W.Yorkshire,Bill was the prime mover in the celebrated 1970's band Be Bop Deluxe. Music fans in the early seventies simply raved about Bill and his mastery of his Gibson in Sunburst Finish. His spellbinding music moved from the pubs of Leeds and Wakefield to Harvest Records and appearances on BBC Top of the Pops. From his first solo LP through his fabulous six Be Bop Deluxe albums, his music was innovative guitar based excellence. The band and Bill himself had a huge fanbase. This grainy picture is quite  a late time in Bill's career sometime in the Nineties at Wakefield's "Poste Haste"
