This picture is the one used for the classic Blues Matters magazine front cover and was taken at the 2002 Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival at Colne Lancashire.

Still in her late teens this young lady plays the blues with passion and authority. She uses a Fender Telecaster Thinline (the hollow one) .Her playing has been likened to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Albert King but there are shades of Albert Collins, the legendary "Master of the Telecaster" in her playing. She is usually surrounded by excellent band members which give her band a classy sound. Joanne was signed by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) but her album has not yet been released. She has made many friends in Europe over the past couple of years.
