Here's Elkie during her Vinegar Joe days with Robert Palmer and guitarist Pete Gage (a superb Rhythm and Blues player). This band had a cult following in the early seventies.Check out a re-issue CD "Six Star General" a great showcase of Vinegar Joe's work . Elkie certainly was a young mans dream during this era. Her stage presence as today, was very strong with her fabulous vocals and sultry body language.
